Pope approves blessings for same sex couples

As a Christian I love and cherish everyone’s life, I do not approve or disapprove a person’s lifestyle, I am not a judge. God gave humans free will when He created us in His image. God did not force anyone to obey Him or love Him, but He invited them to do so freely. (Genesis 1:26-27) As a Christian, we are not to condone or approve of sin in themselves or others. They are not to participate in sin or celebrate it. They are not to look the other way when they see someone sinning. They are not to be silent when they hear someone confessing their sin. They are not to be indifferent when they witness someone suffering from the consequences of their sin. The Pope is making same sex marriage a positive or pleasant act, why is he condoning the sin of same sex marriage?  Watch Video

The Article

Photo from Vatican News
Reported By APPope Francis has formally approved allowing priests to bless same-sex couples, but only in certain circumstances and without changing the church’s teaching on marriage. This is a significant change from the previous Vatican policy, which rejected any recognition of same-sex unions as equivalent to heterosexual marriage. In 2021, the Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith said flat-out that the church couldn’t bless the unions of two men or two women because “God cannot bless sin.”

Opinion

This is a radical change that is easing into a full change of the catholic church, Is sugar coating sin. Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10

What We Should Do

Christians are to confront sin with the truth of God’s word and with gentleness and humility. They are to rebuke sin in private or in public, depending on the situation. They are to restore those who have sinned by showing them grace and mercy. They are also to pray for those who have sinned, that they may repent and be forgiven (Galatians 6:1; James 5:19-20)

Biblical Reference

(1) Hebrews 13:4 ESV - Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.

(2) Corinthians 6:9 ESV  - Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,
